Main Weapons in Warrior Within

There are 7 Main weapons in this game and 6 on normal and easy difficulty each of them being unique by design,history or how strong are.The swords will be gained during the game when it is the time and on different stages.

1. EAGLE SWORD

A powerful and noble short-blade for the prince,that of course suits well for a warrior.
Use it to perform combos up to 3 strikes..
This weapon will be used only on the ship stage (at the beginning) serving as an item that will NOT abandon you,even in front of Shahdee!
After the first duel against Shahdee (the first boss in PoP 2) this weapon will be lost and you thrown into the water then waking up on the Island of Time,after watching a cinematic which tells how begun everything (the quest of prince for prevent the sands to be created)

Its design seems unique and shows up a bloody and sharpned blade ready for destruction.

2. WOODEN STICK

This weak and sturdy wooden stick serves as replace for a weapon and is the second weapon found by the prince of the Island of Time. It can only chain 2 combo attacks.
So it is able to release combos up to 2 strikes. You will find hard to kill the monsters in your way to the fortress entrance,because,as I said,it is the weakest weapon in Warrior Within (except the broken part of Lion Sword)


After losing your powerful Eagle Sword and wake up after the prince loses the duel against Shahdee on the ship,he is assaulted on the beach by some crows and notice so that his swords gone.
He finds up a piece of wood and,with no other choice he picks up,
You will need to hold this only until reaching your first updated on map objective (to reach the fortress entrance).

3. SPIDER SWORD

This ancient sword is typically for this island,being common on it.
Painted with a spider model on the long blade,this medium-power weapon seems to be made just for war and relentless assaults!

You will gain the weapon when the prince finishes his first objective updated on map too,reaching the Fortress Entrance in the present time.There,the girl in black,he fought on the ship,Shahdee,will try to ambush the prince and she will get this undone...after calling reinforecements to kill her enemy, a group of Keepers will assault the prince,while Shahdee sees and then run away.
This sword is stealed from a sand demon (Keeper) that will also be defeated with his own hand-weapon by prince with a similar to Ashas Fury combo. (enemy on ground) Mouse1

Combos done by Spider Sword - The main combo which can be released with, is Mouse1 + Mouse1 + Mouse1 (Right click 3 times) it is pathetic simple.In rest,this weapon strikes up to 3 combos,spending some less time defeating monsters then Wooden Stick.

4. SERPENT SWORD

This special and unique sword serves as a key to unlock the access a great system of bridges in the Central Hall which will lead to 4 different places in the Fortress (The garden Tower,The Mechanical Tower, Southern Passage and Sacrificial Altar, a Life Upgrade)
The sword will be gained by the Empress herself, to prince so he it might help him activating the first tower,after watching a cinematic that shows how Kaileena talks to the prince and explains him about the Throne Room door,sealed at first and opened at last.

Its design represents,as the name suggests,a snake,a serpent and at the top a sharpned blade.

Combos done with Serpent Sword - More powerful than the Spider Sword but less than the next main weapon,the mystical weapon Lion Sword, the Serpent Sword can release hits up to 4 combos,like E+Mouse1+Mouse1+E+E (one of the most powerful abilities of the prince can do).

4. LION SWORD

This mystical weapon stores energy that can be used for unleashed attacks (actually it is not an UNLEASHED attack, just knocks the enemy down and does a couple of damage).
The specific combo of this weapon is (Hold) Mouse1.
It has the samge long blade as the Spider Sword but as its aspect, Lion Sword seems more sharpned and with a lion model.I consider this the greatest weapon in the game at everything less the damage.
     You will gain this sword when finishing the first tower of the objective ACTIVATE THE TOWERS, found updated on map,too.
The sword will be given,as the precedent,by Kaileena which awaits the prince in the Central Hall.
Later,with this weapon,the prince will battle in the Throne Room with the Empress and after,this weapon will break up.

You can release combos with this main weapon up to 3-4 hits exaclty the same as the precedent sword but,of course, dealing more damage with.

5. THE SCORPION SWORD


Not too much to say about this sword,it just can be found in the Prison Area,like awaiting the Prince and that  it is stronger than some walls,performing so a specific combo which can be used to destroy cracked walls,or on your enemy to knock him/her down. (Hold) Mouse1,similar combo like the precedent weapon, Lion Sword,but that cannot break up walls.
The area of the fortress where you will first SEE (not gain) the weapon will be between the Catacombs and the Prison in the present time,after Dahaka chases you 4 times in the Catacombs,then you refuge safety etc.
When close to reach this weapon in the present,Dahaka rises from a pit and try to catch the prince,throwing so the sword into the mist deeps...
      After returning to the past,escaping the Dahaka,the prince will walk to a huge chamber,where the Scorpion Sword will await, making for him things easier,as he belives.

It is also noticeable that with this sword you will battle against 1 boss (on HARD difficulty) or 3 (on NORMAL difficulty).
One of that encounters will be soon after gaining the sword, just in Prison the prince of Persia will face Thrall, that golem and later, in the Sacred Caves, a gryphon and at the final, the Scorpion Sword will serve as a weapon against the Empress Kaileena, having a final duel with the Prince in the place where you just killed the fourth boss,the griffin, in the Sacred Caves.

(If you choose to play on HARD game difficulty,later,before reaching again the Throne Room,after returning from The Library stage thorough the Mechanical Tower, in the Hourglass Chamber, lying on a small table, the Water Sword will replace this weapon)

Its design is extremly inspired and unseen yet.The blade aspect represents a scorpion tail and its top a just sharpned sting ,exactly as a real scorpion has.

Combos done by using the Scorpion Sword - Being on the NORMAL and EASY difficulty the most powerful main weapon, it can release every known combo, up to 4 hits with a lot of damage.


7. WATER SWORD


This sword is not well-known,but according to a ancient legend it contains more power than imaginable. And  it is like the artowork description says,finishing your enemies with this can be considered pathetic easy (just 1 or 2 combos suffered by your enemies and they will die!)
The entire sword aspect (design) is a masterpiece in my opinion,the handle and the blade,too shows an ancient weapon and its blue color matches the name that suggests A WATER IMBUED SWORD.
This great weapon is available ONLY on HARD difficulty in Prince of Persia Warrior Within, being found and used by the prince especially for fightning against the invincible beast and the guardian of timeline, The Dahaka,but you will face another boss holding this in your hand, the Griffin.

This weapon gaining mode is almost the same as the Scorpion Sword.
After returning back from the prison and reaching the Hourglass Chamber, on a small table in the middle of the that chamber,on a small table the Water Sword awaits the prince.

A memorable moment of the sword power could be at the final cinematic,before fightning against Dahaka, when the sword shines up with a blue-fading light, a sign that the water power was activated.

Boss #2 The Empress Kaileena

I will present you in this article the hardest boss in PoP,one of the main characters in the game and the ruler of the entire fortress,The Empress of Time Kaileena.

About - Kaileena can be considered a hand-crafter of the castle,her origins are known to be from Island of Time,but no one still knows where she has been grown or by who.
Some says she is a servant of the Empress of Time or some says that she is herself the empress which the prince sought to stop her from creating the sands.Remains at your decision,in what you will trust.
All the creatures on the isle has its own description and history.It says the empress created them one by one giving to everyone a name like Keeper,Raider,Bladedancer,Shilouette etc. and they are controlled by herself standing in front of her highness and serving as minions.
(As you can see,any enemy of the prince has its eyes yellow and shines a bit.That means they are made with Sands of Time,created by the Empress)
Kaileena will represent the second and boss in Warrior Within or just the second if you choose the Hard difficulty.

The first contact she takes with the prince is in Sacrificial Altar where she is rescued from Shahdee that turned against her being no longer a strong minion of the empress.
After the prince asks her for information she do not reveals her true identity lying the prince that empress meets with no one and she is very busy in this important day.
Then,after Shahdee says her last words to the prince and disappeared the area crashes and Kaileena is saved by the prince for the second time.
The second contact (meeting) between prince and the empress will be in the Hourglass Chamber when she will offer him the Serpent Sword to undo the fortifications of the castle opening so the Throne Room door.

The Serpent Sword serves as a key to activate the bridges through the towers.

After the prince finishes the first objective,he turns back into the Central Hall and finds Kaileena that offers him a second weapon,named Lion Sword

This mystical weapon wil break up when the prince finishes the battle against Kaileena.

Encounter - After the prince finishes the second tower,he returns to the Hourglass Chamber where he will fight soon in the Throne Room with Kaileena.This battle is named The Betrayal,because Kaileena betrays the prince in her quest to change the Timeline.
So,after a short cinematic you will start the battle.

The easiest way to kill her is to slow down the time,again and again,or without you will find most impossible.
You can block many combos she does with Dual-Swords but sometimes you will be disarmed or knocked down even if you still parry attacks!
This fight is NOT a easy one without the sands of time (I suggest you to have the full tanks of sands that are unlocked).
If you are experienced or do not wish to lose sand tanks then you can try a combo with (toward enemy) SPACE + Mouse1+Mouse1 for an aerial landing slice.
With two weapons try a classic combo,used in the fight against monsters (Mouse1 + E +Mouse1)
The truth is that it is not so hard to pass this stage,I recommend you the sands way to use if you do not wanna lose so much time.
She also has the abillity to teleport if you run away or walk around,disarming you after the process is done.
After you take her aproximmate 40% health she will banish herself into a small fire cyclone being immune to your damage until you defeat the two sword guards she called.
These guardians are similar to Crow Master,the colour and the weapon making the only difference.
You will find hard to kill them if you do not slow the time.When each of them dies,you can collect 2 more sand tanks and Kaileena will cancel that fire cyclone.
(Even if you use Eye of the Storm abillity she will still counterattck some of your combos,but is better than to do this without it.
NOTE - If you remain without sand tanks try run in the throne room and crush some objects that you will find around,many of them contain sands of time.
At 20% health,the empress Kaileena will banish herself again being the same script as the first time.
(Do not get in sight of the cyclone,because you will be hard damaged and knocked down)

So,after all I said,we can notice this battle is not a easy one,but not impossible too.Just remain with enough sand tanks during the encounter and slow down the time everytime you can.
I also suggest you to pick up the swords of these imperial guards,it will resist for the entire war with the empress.

Boss #3 - Thrall

 
In this article I will present you the third boss of Prince of Persia Warrior Within as details,the easiest way to kill him and at last a picture of this boss will be added and a video link too.

A stronger version of Brute,Thrall will be encountered in the Prison after you get the Scorpion Sword (Well,not immediatly after gaining the sword,you will make your way to the Save Game Fountain first)

Weapons - Giant Fists and Legs
Appearance - PoP Warrior Within (unique appearance)

About - Handly-crafted by the Empress herself,the great flesh golem is made up with of the stitched together remains of fallen warriors,those who sought to challenge the Empress and died.
He is covered by bloody and tattered bandages that hold together like a shield for the abomination,where the magic cannot inflict.

Encounter - The battle is the same as against the Brute,but this time it will lasts more,cuz the player will have to bring him at his knees several times,and when you jam into his head to strike with the sword and he throws you somewhere or you jump off,avoiding to lose HP,his health will regenerate for 20%.

First of all I recommand you to have a off-hand weapon,either the Scorpion Sword so you can bring him to knees faster,until the weapon is broken.This will work the first time only.
Go through his legs and try to make him fall into his knees,using combos on his back part of his legs (if you will strike in front of his legs,you will not be able to damage him,because he is protected by an armour - knee pad).
When he falls down press SPACE and jump on his leg,then to head.Here you will need to slow down the time (Eye of the Storm abillity - Tap R) to get him more hurted and when the time is up,jump from his head (press SPACE) or you will suffer a slam which takes you a lot of health.
Remember that either you jumped from his head or he throw you down,his health will regenerate both ways,but that does not make Thrall invincible. (The part with regeneration of HP is available ONLY on HARD difficulty,in NORMAL difficulty the HP will not turn back).
Also,try to avoid any fists or feet quake he do (these will cause to you a lot of damage).

Boss #4 -The Griffin

                                                   Boss #4 The Griffon



The griffin is the fourth boss of Prince of Persia Warrior Within and you will encounter him in the Sacred Caves being as the Sandwraith after the prince finds up the mask of the Wraith.
The griffin is one of the easiest bosses in the game if you know tactics during the fight.
I will now explain about,at final add a picture with it (just as a lookalike) and write about the encounter.


About - This kind of beast is a Sand Griffon found on the Island of Time during the Sandwraith path back to  the Throne Room.
Rumor speaks of an mythical,ancient beast that lives beneath the Island of Time,but no one knows if was lured here or simply lived to the island prior of the Empress of Time arrival.
It is charged with the duty to guard the island moste valuable artefacts.
This great winged creature is able for swift flight,dodge all conventional attacks and as a weapon against the enemies the powerul beak,a sperpentine tail and razor-sharp talons can be included.
According to a legend,it says to be hundreds or thousands years old,having an abillity to regenerate itself over time fast (it is all hearsay) or that there could be more griffons on the island,and this is just the beginning of them...
Since,no one lived to face the griffin and tell about too much....shall the prince be the first one??

Encounter - As you are a Sandwraith this wil make the encounter to be the easiest in this game.
As your sand tanks are properly unlimited (because they regenerate over time) you will find this useful slowing down the time or using a ground attack like Wind of Fate.
When the griffin lands on the platform go toward the beast and then use Eye of the Storn abillity slowing down the time (just tap R) and then damage the griffin as hard as you can.
It is important to know that you will NOT stay in front of it or behind (you will get hit hard by the claw and knocked down by the tail).You can also use Cyclone of Fate ability (while blocking with mouse2 press R) for a quickly finish.
So,with all these you will damage at his feet and not at his head.
There will be 2 times or 3 when it will try to knock you down flying.What do you have to do?
Extremly simple - When the beast approaches the platform,move toward it and then crouch.Do that every time during on the air assault then,when it lands agains you can continue to destroy it.

THE END

Boss #1 -Shahdee

                                                                                                                                             

Known as a girl in black,and in the most part nude,Shahdee is a servant of the Empress of Time,you will meet her at the beginning of the game when she will assault the ship of prince during a terrible storm with a crew of sand Raiders (At last I will add a picture with her.just a lookalike)

          About - Shahdee is a strong warrior that serves the Empress of Time,known with the name Kaileena,and was charged with the  mission to stop the prince from reaching the island,engaging him at sea and kill him with the crew. As the Raiders failes to stop the prince,she will fight against the prince (here you will have your battle against the first boss,but you will not defeat her on the ship) throwing his weapon and making his way faster on the Island of Time.So,as Shahdee fails,she will haunt the fortress on the Island of Time wich the prince will reach it later,attacking him 3 times by herslef or by an ambush with demons (servants of the empress named Keepers).
          The last time when the prince will see her will be in the Southern Passage after all to fight and defeat her in the Sacrificial Altar,protecting Kaileena,too.
You as probably why protecting? Well,after Shahdee reports that prince reached the island,she is going to fight with the empress herself,cuz she will not admit her failure!
The prince will come there soon and see what is going on,and will protect the empress from death,finishing so the business with Shahdee.

           Encounter mode - In your battle against Shahdee in the Sacrificial Altar you must also protect Kaileena from falling into the deeps,which sounds hard to you for both jobs,but you will sure find it extremly easy.
For the beginning make sure you have a weapon in your left hand (Two weapons not just the Spider Sword in right hand). After a cinematic that shows a Sandwraith on a platform from above and the two girls dueling. Then,you can rush and engage to finish the business with her! At first,she being still busy with that girl in red, will have her back exposed for some damage,so do your best with any combo you know (I suggest you to start pressing E+mouse1+E).
When she will turn to face you make sure you  keep all the times blocking with mouse 2 (Right click keep pressing) and after she will finish a deadly combo against you move along  her or fall back.
She will never return to finish the girl in red (the empress herself) if you keep her a considerable distance from you.
If you are ready to damage her again,what is very important could be avoiding her devastating BOOT KICK,that knocks you back a far distance and takes you a lot of HP. You will know when shes ready to release this move after she finishes a deadly combo wich can be blocked too. (Remeber that not every attack of you will damage the boss,sometimes she parries and you need to block after to do not receive too much from her combo and then try again another move or combo).
In rest the fight is simple.....you can use many times (Toward enemy) SPACE  + mouse1 mouse1 (left click 2 times) for Aerial Landing Slice, Mouse1+mouse1+mouse1 (Left click 3 times) when she is not hitting  you with her Dual-Weapons or (Toward enemy) SPACE + E for an aerial kick.
If you will lose your off hand weapon you can also do E + click as a powerful combo with one single weapon,BUT you will find unable to release it,and you will see why,I cannot explain right now,it is difficult to understand.
You will probably ask why I decided to include it if has no effect?
The answer - After you press E + click,jump fast (just press SPACE) and click to damage her hard while jumping (E + click + SPACE + click),but I cannot assure you will work every time .Sometimes you just jump on and miss the hit but you should try sometimes. (If you E + left click without SPACE,Shahdee will hit you at your feet slamming you down)
If you are on the ground (knocked by her) - Keep blocking with right click then when she gets close enough press E for a weak but effective leg kick that makes her fall back a considerable distance,or simply mouse1 or chain the combo Mouse1 + Mouse1 + Mouse1 so you will wake up instantly.

After Shahdee dies,the empress will be rescued by the prince and Shahdee will speak to him about the fate like the oldman from the beginning of the game. Then the girl disappears.( It says it was taken by the Vizier from the Two Thrones triology to revive her later, giving a new name - Mahasti, which is the second boss in Prince of Persia T2T)
